The Conference will be focused on eight research areas:

- Deposits of strategic metals: genetic models and patterns of location.

- Geochemical and petrological features of alkaline, basic and granite magmatism in various geodynamic environments

- Mantle sources and processes controlling genesis of ore-producing magmas.

- Theoretical and experimental modeling of mantle processes and mineral associations

- Genetic mineralogy and crystallochemistry of rare- and rare-earth metal minerals

- Applied and technical mineralogy of critical metals, mineral processing etc.

- Magmatic rocks as a source of gemstones and collection material

- Modern analytical technics and their application to the geochemistry, mineralogy and petrology.


We invite proposals for Sessions or Workshops, corresponding the main themes of the Conference.

Proposals should include the following information:
• The title of the Session/Workshop
• The name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address(es) of the proposer(s)
• Short description of the topic of the Session/Workshop (not exceeding 100 words)
• Please, estimate how many participnts can come to this evens and how many time this event take.
•The deadline for proposal submission is 31 January 2018. Please send your proposal to: alkaline.conference@gmail.com


During the conference we plane to organize special events:

Short guide

Oral presentations

The length of the oral report is 15 minutes, unless otherwise specifically stated with the speaker.
Reports are accompanied by PowerPoint slides (ppt. or pptx format) 

The presentation should be uploaded to the demonstration computer in advance (no later than the last coffee break before the report), and the speaker should be familiarized in advance with the management of the show. 
Please, take into account that during 15-minute presentation, you can show no more than 15 slides.

Poster presentations

The posters must be placed on the morning September, 3 and should hang until the end of the sessions (evening of September, 5).

The holders for posters differ from each other: the smallest ones are 1 mx 1 m in size with high legs. Thus, you can be sure that a 1x1 m poster is suitable for any occasion. If you need, you can make a poster more than 1 m in height, but in any case the vertical size should not exceed 2 m.

Organizing committee will not provide any printing of posters inside the Vernadsky Institute. Please, do it in advance.

Formally poster session, jointed with the Ice-break party (evening of September, 3) is the main time of presence of near the reports, but we strongly recommend to participants use any free time to communicate with colleagues at posters.
